The blind corner,
finally reachable.
Every L-shaped and U-shaped kitchen has one cupboard nobody opens. This is the fitting that fixes it, and it is not the same thing as a carousel.

What is a magic corner?
A two-part mechanism in a blind corner cabinet. Pull the door and the front pair of trays comes out; as it clears the opening, the rear pair slides across to take its place. Everything that was buried in the corner ends up in front of the door. Nothing stays at the back, which is the entire problem it exists to solve.
How is it different from a carousel?
A carousel is a rotating circular shelf, and it fits a corner cabinet with two doors meeting at the angle. A magic corner fits a blind corner, where one run runs past the other and a single door opens onto a deep void. Different cabinet, different problem. Carousels waste the corners of the circle; magic corners use rectangular trays but need the clearance to swing.
Fix the corner, or design it out?
Our rule: if the layout can put a bank of drawers where the corner would be, or run the bench past and leave the corner as a blanked panel, do that instead, because it is cheaper and works better. Most kitchens cannot. Where the corner is unavoidable — and in almost every L-shaped and U-shaped kitchen it is — a magic corner turns the worst cupboard in the room into the second-biggest. It is the single highest-impact fitting on this page, and it is the one we specify most often.
What does it need from the cabinet?
Clearance, mostly. The trays have to swing clear of the opening and of anything mounted on the adjacent run, including handles. This is a decision made at drawing stage rather than afterwards, which is why it goes on the plan before anything is cut.
How does it arrive?
If you order delivered assembled it is fitted and adjusted before the carton is closed. Flat packed, it arrives with the cabinet it belongs to and you fit it as you build that cabinet.
Why this matters when you pick who builds it
Nothing above is exotic. It is the ordinary detail of specifying a kitchen properly, and the reason it is written down is that most quotes do not account for any of it. A cabinet maker who has not thought about the clearance on your corner, the runner rating under your pot drawer or the trap under your sink will still quote you a number — it will just be a number for a kitchen that works less well than it could have. We draw these decisions into the plan before anything is cut, on every kitchen, at every price. That is what you are actually choosing when you choose who to buy from.
- Front trays pull out, rear trays follow
- Fits a blind corner, not a two-door corner
- Trays sized to the cabinet we draw
- Clearance checked on the plan before cutting
- Quoted as its own line

Ask us directly →What is a magic corner in a kitchen?
A mechanism in a blind corner cabinet where the front trays pull out and the rear trays slide across behind them, so nothing stays at the back of the corner.
Is a magic corner better than a carousel?
They suit different cabinets. A carousel needs a corner with two doors; a magic corner suits a blind corner with one door opening onto a deep void.
Do I need a magic corner?
Only if the layout leaves you a blind corner. If drawers or a blanked panel can go there instead, that is usually cheaper and more usable.
Can a magic corner be added to an existing kitchen?
Sometimes, but the clearances rarely work out in a cabinet that was not drawn for one. It is far more reliable to specify it with the order.
In their words
The people who already
cook in one.
“For what we paid compared to what similar kitchens were costing elsewhere, we’re extremely happy with it.”
Rockhampton
“Could not be happier with our kitchen. The funny thing is, pretty much everyone who’s come over since we installed it has asked who did our kitchen and assumed we spent a lot more than we actually did.”
Gladstone
“Once we saw it in person, it was a pretty easy decision. It looked even better than we expected.”
