How to order a flat pack kitchen
without the software.
Some suppliers make you design your own kitchen in a portal and hope the software caught your mistakes. This is the other way: a person draws it from your measurements, and you see the drawing before you pay.
The short answer
Send the room’s measurements and photos. A designer draws the kitchen to your room and sends the drawing with a fixed, itemised quote showing it flat pack and delivered assembled, freight to your postcode on each. You check the drawing, change what you want, sign it off, pay, and it is cut and shipped to the address on the order. No account, no software, no showroom visit.
Step one: measure and photograph
Wall to wall at floor, bench and ceiling height, using the smallest figure. Ceiling height in each corner. Every window and door with its distance from the nearest corner. Where the waste, water and power are now. A photo of each corner of the room. Our measuring guide has the full list. If you have plans, send those too — but measure anyway, because plans and rooms disagree.
Step two: send it, and say what you want
Through the quote form or by email. Tell us what the room is for — family kitchen, granny flat, short-stay, laundry — and anything fixed: an appliance you already own, a basin you have chosen, a benchtop material. Say whether you want it flat pack, assembled, or are undecided. Undecided is fine; the quote shows both.
Step three: the drawing and the quote
A designer draws the kitchen to your room and sends a dimensioned plan and elevations with a fixed, itemised quote: every cabinet, the hardware, the benchtop, the doors, freight to your postcode, and the assembly as its own line if you take it. Nothing is a from-price and nothing is hidden behind a login. You look at it at your kitchen table and mark it up.
Step four: changes, then sign-off
Move the sink, lose the overheads, add a drawer bank — changes are redrawn and the quote updated until it is right. Then you sign the drawing off. That signed drawing is what gets cut, so this is the point to check every dimension against the room once more. After sign-off the number does not move.
Step five: payment and cutting
The quote states what is due and when for your job. Once it is paid, the kitchen is cut to the signed drawing, the panels drilled for the hardware, the doors finished, and everything checked against the drawing before it is packed. Assembled orders are built and adjusted at this stage; flat pack orders are packed per cabinet with the hardware bagged.
Step six: delivery
Freight is booked to the address on the order and you are told when it is leaving. Someone needs to be there to receive it and check it against the drawing on the day — cartons counted, fronts inspected. Assembled cabinets need a dry, level place to stand if the room is not ready. Then your build starts, or your installer’s does.
What you never have to do
Create an account. Learn design software. Guess at a cabinet width and hope. Visit a showroom. Pay a deposit to see a price. Talk to a salesperson. Every one of those is a step that exists to serve the supplier rather than you, and none of them make the kitchen fit the room better than a person drawing it from your measurements.

Can I change my mind after sign-off?
Before cutting starts, usually yes; after it, the signed drawing is what has been cut. Check every dimension against the room before you sign.
