Before you sign,
ask these warranty questions.
A warranty is only worth what it actually promises in writing — and that varies far more between suppliers than most buyers realise.
The short answer
A genuine kitchen warranty should state, in writing, what is covered (carcass, hardware, finish, installation), for how long, whether hardware carries its own separate manufacturer warranty on top, and what voids it. A verbal assurance of "we stand behind our work" is not a warranty until it is written into the quote or contract.

Get it broken down by component
Carcass, hardware, door finish and installation can carry different warranty periods from different parties — ask for each to be stated separately rather than accepting one vague overall figure.
Check whether hardware carries its own manufacturer warranty
Branded hardware such as Blum often carries its own separate mechanical warranty — see Blum hardware warranty explained — distinct from and additional to whatever your kitchen supplier warrants on the cabinetry as a whole.
Ask what voids it
Water damage from an unrelated plumbing failure, commercial-intensity use in a residential product, or DIY modifications can all void a warranty depending on the supplier's terms — worth knowing before rather than after something goes wrong.

Frequently asked
Common questions
If your question is not here, call the studio. We would rather talk it through than have you guess.
Ask us directly →What should a kitchen warranty actually state?
What is covered by component (carcass, hardware, finish, installation), for how long, and what voids it — in writing, not as a verbal assurance.
Does hardware warranty differ from cabinetry warranty?
Often, yes — branded hardware like Blum frequently carries its own separate manufacturer warranty on top of whatever the kitchen supplier warrants on the cabinetry overall.
What commonly voids a kitchen warranty?
Water damage unrelated to a manufacturing defect, use well beyond normal residential intensity, and unauthorised modifications are common exclusions — confirm your specific supplier's terms.
Should I get warranty terms in writing before signing?
Yes, always — a warranty that exists only as a verbal assurance is not enforceable in the way a written term in your quote or contract is.
Delivered assembled
The assembly is done
before it arrives.
Carcasses built square on a bench, Blum hardware fitted, doors hung and adjusted to even gaps. On site you are fixing finished cabinets to a wall, not building them on the floor. Our own team fits it in Central Queensland; your installer fits it anywhere else in Australia. Prefer to build it yourself? The same kitchen ships flat pack.
