A kitchen for Kalbarri,
drawn to your walls.
Cut to your wall lengths and your ceiling height, pre-drilled, labelled per cabinet and freighted to Kalbarri flat or assembled. You decide which after you see both on the same quote.
The short answer
A Kalbarri kitchen is quoted from your measurements and photographs, not from a site visit, and the quote is fixed and itemised with freight shown as its own line. It is cut in Rockhampton and ships west across the Nullarbor. You choose flat packed or delivered assembled on the same drawing. Fitting is done by your own trades — our installation team works Central Queensland only.

What is a kitchen up against in Kalbarri?
A house within reach of sea air is a harder brief than it looks: the finish has to survive the light and the hardware has to survive the salt. We answer the second with Blum on every hinge and runner, and the first with a finish you choose off real samples. Coastal heat and cyclone-rated housing, with freight that rewards packing flat.
How is a Kalbarri order freighted?
Your kitchen is cut in Rockhampton and freighted west across the Nullarbor. Flat cartons are labelled to a numbered drawing, one per cabinet where possible, with doors and fronts wrapped separately and the Blum hardware bagged against the cabinet it belongs to. Assembled orders arrive as finished boxes, doors hung and adjusted, which takes more truck space and shows as a higher freight line. Both are on the same quote so the choice is a number rather than a guess.
Who fits it in Kalbarri?
Your builder, carpenter or kitchen installer, plus a licensed plumber and a licensed electrician for their parts. Ask each for a licence number and check it yourself — in Western Australia that is the WA Building and Energy division. Every order ships with dimensioned service drawings showing each waste, water point and outlet, so the trades rough in to the plan rather than to a guess. Our install guide sets out the three trades and the fixed order they work in.
What does the quote actually itemise?
Every cabinet as its own line with its width and what is in it, the benchtop by material and linear metre, the hardware by brand, the doors by finish, and freight to your Kalbarri postcode on a line of its own. No allowances, no provisional sums, no "from" price with the catches left out. If you take an item off, you see exactly what comes off the total, which is the point of itemising it in the first place.
Flat pack or assembled — which works out cheaper?
The cabinetry price is identical. What differs is the assembly line on the quote and the freight line, because assembled cabinets take several times the truck space of the same kitchen in cartons. To Kalbarri that difference is usually decisive, and most orders this far out go flat. But the quote shows both, so it is a number you compare rather than a decision you are talked into.
What goes wrong with cheap cabinetry first?
In a predictable order: the edging lifts near the sink and the dishwasher, then water gets into the exposed core and the panel swells, then the drawer runners start to drag, then the doors stop lining up because the hinges have no adjustment left. None of that is bad luck. It is what 16mm standard-core board with glued edging and unbranded hardware does, and it is the reason we do not sell it.

We ship to Geraldton, Carnarvon, Exmouth, Dongara, Jurien Bay, Northampton on the same route. The the Mid West and Gascoyne page covers the region, and Western Australia covers the state.

The specification
Built for this
climate, not a catalogue.
Hard water marks stone and laminate alike, and dry heat opens up any joint that was not tight to begin with. Neither is solved by a prettier door; both are answered by the board, the edge and the hardware underneath.
The same three questions decide any kitchen anywhere: board thickness and moisture rating, edging method, hardware brand. Ours are 18mm moisture-resistant, laser-bonded and Blum, and they are printed on every quote. How to judge a flat pack.

Send the wall lengths, the ceiling height and a photo of each corner. A designer draws your kitchen to the room and sends the drawing back with a fixed, itemised quote — flat packed and delivered assembled, freight to your postcode on each.
- Nothing to pay to see the drawing or the quote
- Changes redrawn until the plan is right

Frequently asked
Kalbarri — questions
If your question is not here, call the studio. We would rather talk it through than have you guess.
Ask us directly →Do you deliver flat pack kitchens to Kalbarri?
Yes. Kalbarri is served west across the Nullarbor, and freight is quoted to your postcode as its own line on the quote rather than folded into the cabinetry price.
Do you install kitchens in Kalbarri?
No. Our own installation team works Central Queensland only. In Kalbarri your builder, carpenter or kitchen installer fits it, working from the dimensioned service drawings that ship with every order. Our install guide covers the three trades and the order they work in.
Should I order flat pack or assembled to Kalbarri?
Both are quoted on the same drawing. Flat cartons ship for less and get through tight doorways; assembled arrives with carcasses built and doors adjusted so your installer is fitting rather than building. Over this distance most the Mid West and Gascoyne orders go flat.
Who can do the plumbing and electrical in Kalbarri?
A licensed plumber and a licensed electrician, and you should check both licences yourself before they start. In Western Australia, the WA Building and Energy division is the register to check against.
What board and hardware do you use?
18mm moisture-resistant board, laser-bonded edging and Blum soft-close hinges and runners on every cabinet, in every state. The specification is printed on your quote so you can hold it against anything else you are offered.
Is there a deposit to get a Kalbarri quote?
No. The drawing and the itemised quote cost nothing and carry no obligation. Payment terms for the order itself are stated on that quote.
Delivered assembled
The assembly is done
before it arrives.
Carcasses built square on a bench, Blum hardware fitted, doors hung and adjusted to even gaps. On site you are fixing finished cabinets to a wall, not building them on the floor. Your builder or installer levels it, fixes it and fits the benchtop, working from our drawings. Prefer to build it yourself? The same kitchen ships flat pack.
