Measured in Dongara,
made to those numbers.
Every Dongara order ships with a numbered plan, elevations and a service drawing marking every waste, water point and outlet, so your plumber and electrician are not guessing.
The short answer
Kitchens for Dongara are drawn in Rockhampton from the measurements you send, approved by you before anything is cut, then packed flat or assembled and freighted west across the Nullarbor. The quote itemises every cabinet, the benchtop by material and metre, the hardware by brand and the freight separately. We supply only — your trades install it.

Why does the specification matter in Dongara?
A house within reach of sea air is a harder brief than it looks: the finish has to survive the light and the hardware has to survive the salt. We answer the second with Blum on every hinge and runner, and the first with a finish you choose off real samples. Coastal heat and cyclone-rated housing, with freight that rewards packing flat.
How does it reach Dongara?
Your kitchen is cut in Rockhampton and freighted west across the Nullarbor. Flat cartons are labelled to a numbered drawing, one per cabinet where possible, with doors and fronts wrapped separately and the Blum hardware bagged against the cabinet it belongs to. Assembled orders arrive as finished boxes, doors hung and adjusted, which takes more truck space and shows as a higher freight line. Both are on the same quote so the choice is a number rather than a guess.
Who fits it in Dongara?
Your builder, carpenter or kitchen installer, plus a licensed plumber and a licensed electrician for their parts. Ask each for a licence number and check it yourself — in Western Australia that is the WA Building and Energy division. Every order ships with dimensioned service drawings showing each waste, water point and outlet, so the trades rough in to the plan rather than to a guess. Our install guide sets out the three trades and the fixed order they work in.
What goes wrong with cheap cabinetry first?
In a predictable order: the edging lifts near the sink and the dishwasher, then water gets into the exposed core and the panel swells, then the drawer runners start to drag, then the doors stop lining up because the hinges have no adjustment left. None of that is bad luck. It is what 16mm standard-core board with glued edging and unbranded hardware does, and it is the reason we do not sell it.
Would a kitchenette suit the room better?
If the room in Dongara is a studio, a granny flat, an under-house conversion or a short-stay unit, a kitchenette may be the right answer and it starts at $4,500. Sink, bench, cold storage, and a cooktop where the run allows. Same carcasses and the same Blum hardware as a full kitchen, in a fraction of the length - and it fits through a doorway that a full run would not.
Do I need council approval to replace a kitchen?
Replacing a kitchen in the same footprint is generally not something that needs approval on its own, but moving plumbing or structural work can change that, and it is your local council that decides, not us. Check with the Dongara council directly before you commit to a layout that moves the sink. If the kitchen is going into a new secondary dwelling the approval question is a different and much bigger one.

The specification
Built for this
climate, not a catalogue.
Dry heat, dust and hard water are the local test. Dry heat shrinks poorly-made joints and dust finds its way into cheap runners until they grate. Blum runners and hinges are sealed and carry a lifetime mechanical warranty, which is why we fit nothing else.
The same three questions decide any kitchen anywhere: board thickness and moisture rating, edging method, hardware brand. Ours are 18mm moisture-resistant, laser-bonded and Blum, and they are printed on every quote. How to judge a flat pack.

- Changes redrawn until the plan is right

Frequently asked
Dongara — questions
If your question is not here, call the studio. We would rather talk it through than have you guess.
Ask us directly →Do you deliver flat pack kitchens to Dongara?
Yes. Dongara is served west across the Nullarbor, and freight is quoted to your postcode as its own line on the quote rather than folded into the cabinetry price.
Do you install kitchens in Dongara?
No. Our own installation team works Central Queensland only. In Dongara your builder, carpenter or kitchen installer fits it, working from the dimensioned service drawings that ship with every order. Our install guide covers the three trades and the order they work in.
Should I order flat pack or assembled to Dongara?
Both are quoted on the same drawing. Flat cartons ship for less and get through tight doorways; assembled arrives with carcasses built and doors adjusted so your installer is fitting rather than building. Over this distance most the Mid West and Gascoyne orders go flat.
Who can do the plumbing and electrical in Dongara?
A licensed plumber and a licensed electrician, and you should check both licences yourself before they start. In Western Australia, the WA Building and Energy division is the register to check against.
What board and hardware do you use?
18mm moisture-resistant board, laser-bonded edging and Blum soft-close hinges and runners on every cabinet, in every state. The specification is printed on your quote so you can hold it against anything else you are offered.
Is there a deposit to get a Dongara quote?
No. The drawing and the itemised quote cost nothing and carry no obligation. Payment terms for the order itself are stated on that quote.
Delivered assembled
The assembly is done
before it arrives.
Carcasses built square on a bench, Blum hardware fitted, doors hung and adjusted to even gaps. On site you are fixing finished cabinets to a wall, not building them on the floor. Your builder or installer levels it, fixes it and fits the benchtop, working from our drawings. Prefer to build it yourself? The same kitchen ships flat pack.
