Salt air is a specification problem
Coastal humidity and salt do two things to cabinetry: they get into unsealed board edges, and they corrode cheap hardware. Neither shows up in year one. We specify moisture-resistant carcasses and laser-bonded edging as standard, which matters more here than fifty kilometres inland, and we would not use unbranded runners on a coastal job at any price.
