Full length,
and out of the way.
A bedroom rarely has a spare wall. A mirror that lives inside the robe does not need one.

How does a pull-out mirror work?
A full-length mirror on runners, mounted inside the robe, usually at the end of a hanging section. It slides out, swivels where the fitting allows, and goes back. Closed, the robe looks like any other; open, you have a full-length mirror in the right place, which is next to the clothes.
Why not just put one on the door?
A door mirror works and costs less, and for many robes it is the right answer. Where it fails is a walk-in with no suitable door, a robe whose doors slide rather than swing, or a bedroom where a mirrored door is more reflective surface than you want to live with. The pull-out solves all three.
What does it cost you inside the robe?
A slice of hanging width, usually around the depth of the mirror plus the runner. In a generous robe that is nothing; in a tight one it is a real decision, and the honest comparison is against what you would otherwise hang in that slice.
Where should it go?
At the end of a hanging run rather than the middle, so pulling it out does not mean pushing clothes aside, and on the side nearer the light. These sound like small decisions and they are the difference between using it daily and forgetting it is there.
How does it arrive?
Flat packed it arrives with the cabinet it belongs to and you fit it as you build that cabinet. Ordered delivered assembled, it is fitted and adjusted before the carton is closed.
Why this matters when you pick who builds it
None of this is exotic. It is the ordinary detail of specifying joinery properly, and the reason it is written down is that most quotes do not account for any of it. Someone who has not thought about the drop height on your rail, the clearance your drawer needs or where the mirror sits when it is open will still quote you a number — it will just be a number for a robe that works less well than it could have. We draw these decisions into the plan before anything is cut. That is what you are choosing when you choose who to buy from.
- Full length, mounted inside the robe
- Slides out on runners, swivels where fitted
- No wall and no mirrored door needed
- Placed at the end of a hanging run
- Specified per robe on your quote

Frequently asked
Pull-out mirror — questions
If your question is not here, call the studio. We would rather talk it through than have you guess.
Ask us directly →What is a pull-out wardrobe mirror?
A full-length mirror on runners inside the robe that slides out when you want it and stays hidden when you do not.
Is a pull-out mirror better than a mirrored door?
Not always. A door mirror is cheaper and works well on swing doors. The pull-out suits sliding doors, walk-ins, and bedrooms where you do not want a wall of reflection.
How much space does a pull-out mirror use?
Roughly the depth of the mirror plus its runner, taken out of hanging width.
Where is the best place for one?
At the end of a hanging run, on the side nearer the light, so you are not pushing clothes aside to use it.
In their words
The people who already
cook in one.
“For what we paid compared to what similar kitchens were costing elsewhere, we’re extremely happy with it.”
Rockhampton
“Could not be happier with our kitchen. The funny thing is, pretty much everyone who’s come over since we installed it has asked who did our kitchen and assumed we spent a lot more than we actually did.”
Gladstone
“Once we saw it in person, it was a pretty easy decision. It looked even better than we expected.”
